The SFE OA was present at the Recovery To Sustainability Conference with a session in the context of the NESSI Strategic Projects Summit. We presented the current achievements and results of the Alliance and its founding projects and introduced some new challenges that will keep us busy in the near future. We also introduced some new Call 5 projects that are starting shortly and that will contribute to the materialization of the overall vision and mission of the Alliance. For more details please have a look at the presentation.
Welcome to the Open Alliance on Services Front Ends
Internet users are expecting that the Web will support their daily life becoming the front-end through which they will get access and mix services (either application services, content/data delivery services) which are truly useful for them, matching their needs at any moment, in a context/knowledge-aware manner.
The objective of the Open Alliance on Service Front Ends is to set up an open global alliance aimed to effectively deliver:
- a common vision on the technologies and architecture associated to Service Front Ends in the future Internet of Services
- open specifications and, potentially, open source reference implementations of components in the envisioned architecture

In the context of FAST’s collaboration with the FISO group of the FIA, members of the FAST project team are preparing a contribution that further details the project’s vision and contributions to the current Future Internet Requirements defined during the working of the group. The overall contribution focuses mainly on SFE aspects specific to FAST, but is also in line with the SFE OA vision and roadmap.
The FAST project will be present at FIA and ICSOC - ServiceWave in Stockholm. As part of ICSOC/ServiceWave workshop track, FAST will hold its annual UGS conference. It will be possible to see a demonstration of the results of the FAST project, together with other relevant projects of the SFE OA like EzWeb and MyMobileWeb, during the demo session at ServiceWave and it will also be present at the SAP Research stand at FIA
